The popular social networking site, Facebook, has agreed to comply with requests made last month, by New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo to protect registered users from sexual predators and pornography.

In an undercover sting, investigators discovered minors were being targeted by predators, explicit and pornographic material and found that complaints made to Facebook were handled very slowly.

Facebook has agreed to promptly respond to user complaints regarding nudity, unwanted contact, pornography and harassment within 24 hours, and will allow an independent company to check on compliance for a two-year period.
