Internet Safety Day Highlights!
The Macomb Online Safety Team's Second Annual Macomb Internet Safety Day was a huge success!
The Lincoln Elementary School assembly began Internet Safety Day. The second and third grade students spent eight weeks learning about online safety issues. At the end of the eight weeks, the children participated in an online poster contest, focusing on the growing problem of electronic bullying.
Internet Safety Coordinator, Jace Galloway, showed a Netsmartz presentation during the assembly. Lincoln School also received a very special surprise from Clicky, the Netsmartz famous animated character. Clicky somehow "heard" that the children at Lincoln spent eight weeks learning about online safety and participated in the poster contest! He also introduced Principal Mr. Fulkerson and Coordinator and Ms. Galloway!
Winners of the poster contest were finally announced and prizes distributed.

Jace -- I am SOOOOOO VERY proud of you, as YOU should be of yourself!!!!!!! This is such a huge and powerful event! All these wonderful speakers and events...what a HUGE deal to pull all this off in a smaller community. This is QUITE a newsworthy cause and you certainly rallied a wonderful panel to discuss such an important issue in society today!!!! I hope (am sure) the turn out was grand and people were truly moved as a result of what was said and presented. I WISH I could have been there in person rather than in heart alone! Love you Jace! You are one in a million to take your time and efforts to stand up for something we all sit back and wait for others to do what we are dreaming of saying and doing!
Stella!
Your presence was sorely missed, Stella! The day went off, from start to finish, without a hitch!
I thought of you often and wished you were part of the events!
When are you moving back?
Love you!
